Angela Leek, PhD, CHP, began her role as the Director of Radiological Solutions and Regulatory Affairs at SummitET in February 2023. Prior to this, she spent 16 years with the Iowa Department of Health and Human Services with the last 10 as the director of the radiation control program. In this capacity, she managed radiological regulations in Iowa, including the licensing and inspection of radiation equipment and radioactive materials, as well as coordinating the technical and dose assessment aspects of radiation emergency planning and response actions.

On a national level, Angela contributes to radiation emergency preparedness and response as a Type 1 Radiological Operations Support Specialist and is involved in the national ROSS program's working group. She previously served as the Chairperson for the Conference for Radiation Control Program Directors (CRCPD) and is also a current director on the Health Physics Society Board of Directors.

Angela has over 25 years of experience in radiation protection and is a Certified Health Physicist by the American Board of Health Physics. She has delivered more than 100 presentations and has several national and international publications on topics related to radiation safety. Angela earned her master's degree in Radiation Health Physics from Oregon State University and her Ph.D. from Iowa State University.
